The themes

Shift handover

41 mentions · 47% of respondents Up 15
41 this year26 last year

“I spend the first twenty minutes of every shift working out what happened overnight.”

Operations · one of 41 answers on this theme

“The handover is a WhatsApp message if you are lucky. Nobody is doing it badly on purpose, there is just no format.”

Warehouse · shift lead
  • Concentrated in operations and warehouse, 38 of the 41 mentions. Almost absent elsewhere.
  • The biggest mover in the survey, and the only theme that rose in both sites.
  • Named as a fix, not just a complaint: eleven answers proposed a written template themselves.

Career path unclear

33 mentions · 38% of respondents Up 4
33 this year29 last year

“Nobody has told me what the next step looks like, and I have stopped asking.”

Operations · third year in role
  • Concentrated in operations, 24 of 33. Almost absent in sales, where the ladder is written down.
  • Raised by people who stay: 19 of the 33 have been with you more than two years.

Too many tools for the same job

24 mentions · 28% of respondents New
24 this yearnot raised last year

“The same shipment lives in three places and I never know which one is right.”

Customer care
  • New theme, appearing across all three departments rather than one.
  • Follows the two systems added in March. Nobody mentions them by name, but the timing lines up.

Recognition after a hard week

19 mentions · 22% of respondents Flat
19 this year18 last year
  • Steady across two surveys. Not worsening, and not addressed by anything in last year's plan.

Office temperature and the kitchen

17 mentions · 20% of respondents Down 9
17 this year26 last year
  • Falling, and cheap to close. The air conditioning work in May is visible in the answers.

The first 30 days

WhenWhat changesOwner
Week 1 Publish the five themes and the mention counts, unedited, to everyone who answered. Why first: 78% answered because last year's plan was published You
Week 1–2 Write a two-line handover template with the three shift leads who proposed one, and run it in Limassol only.Measured by: handover time at shift start, asked in the pulse survey Ops lead
Week 2–4 One career conversation per operations report, using the sales ladder as the starting format.Measured by: 24 conversations held, not by satisfaction Line managers
Week 3 Name one system as the source of truth for shipment status, and say so in writing.Cheapest item on this list, and the newest theme Ops lead
Week 4 Report back what moved and what did not, including the two themes not being addressed this round. Why: an unaddressed theme said out loud costs less than one quietly dropped You

One warning about the data

Nine answers came from the same team, and they are the angriest in the survey

They read as a large problem and they are worth taking seriously, but nine people out of 87 is not a company-wide theme, and they concern a manager change in June rather than any of the five themes above. Handled as a separate conversation, they belong to that manager's one-to-ones. Rolled into the plan, they would push a nine-person issue ahead of a 41-person one.
