AI Trainer / Workshop Facilitator
Two things matter above everything else. You have been building with AI for at least two years, and you can teach.
About the role
BackboneAI is an agency dedicated to AI training and adoption for businesses across Cyprus, mainly small and medium-sized companies. Our mission is to help them put AI to work in their day-to-day operations through hands-on, results-oriented training.
All teaching content, slides, demonstrations and exercises are built in-house. Your job is to bring them to life by facilitating, demonstrating, and guiding participants.
You do not need to know our tools in detail on day one. We train you on the content and you observe real workshops before running your own. What we cannot teach you is the experience of having built things with AI yourself.
What you will do
- Facilitate in-person AI workshops for groups of 5 to 10 participants.
- Run live demonstrations of AI tools.
- Answer participants' questions clearly and confidently.
- Adapt examples to the client's industry and roles.
- Coach participants through hands-on, practical exercises.
- Recommend the right follow-up module or support when a team needs one.
Your role is, above all, that of a facilitator and communicator. You will be accompanied during your first workshop.
Workshop content
Workshops are tailored to each client, from foundations to advanced, build-focused sessions. Topics include:
- How LLMs work and how to use them safely
- Prompt engineering and reusable templates
- Professional use of Claude (Projects, Skills, connectors, Cowork)
- Building custom assistants with company knowledge
- Automating repetitive workflows (reporting, content, follow-ups)
- Role-specific use cases (HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Support, Management)
- Practical exercises using the company's real documents
We are also preparing more technical modules for developer audiences, covering AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex, agents and sub-agents, and MCP connectors. Being able to teach that material later on is part of the role.
Format
- Setting: In person, across Cyprus.
- Group size: 5 to 10 participants.
- Duration: half-day, full-day, or up to four days.
Who we are looking for
Two things matter above everything else. You have been building with AI for at least two years, and you can teach.
- At least two years using AI daily to build real things: automations, tools, products, workflows. Inside a company, or on a serious personal project you can show us and talk through in detail.
- A technical profile. You are comfortable with code, scripts and APIs, you work with AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex, and you understand agents, sub-agents and MCP well enough to explain them to a technical audience later on.
- Real business exposure. You have seen how a company actually runs, so the use cases you build in the room are grounded rather than theoretical.
- A strong appetite for AI. You follow what is happening in the field and you try new tools as they come out.
- Comfortable speaking in front of a group, dynamic and engaging, able to explain technical concepts in plain language.
- Fluent English (mandatory). Greek is a strong plus.
- Based in Cyprus, able to travel within the island.
- Available as a freelancer or independent contractor.
- Master's degree (Bac+5) or equivalent appreciated.
Prior experience as a trainer is a plus but not a requirement. Deep knowledge of Claude is not required either. We provide online training on our own material, and you learn the rest by observing real workshops before running your own.
Working arrangement
- Status: freelancer or independent contractor (no employment contract)
- Paid per workshop or per day, preparation included
- Commission on any additional training or consulting you help generate
- Goal: build a long-term collaboration
Day rates are discussed during the interview and grow as you gain autonomy and take on more assignments.
How to apply
Send us:
- Your CV or LinkedIn profile
- Five to ten lines on the most useful thing you have built with AI, and what it replaced
- A link to anything you have shipped: a repo, a product, a workflow, a site
